"We have beautiful things here like Victorian homes, but the last thing you expect to see in Evansville,

Indiana, is a naval vessel." That's how LST 325 Memorial board member Chris Donahue describes what he thinks is the most unique thing in the river city.

WNIN's Steve Burger talked with Chris aboard the LST 325. They discussed the ship's battle history, the place where the most LST's were made during World War II and the ship's pending move to a more prominent place on Evansville's riverfront.

Day Out- Henderson Mayor Steve Austin

Mar 28, 2019

"Discover your nature" is one of Henderson's favorite mottos. In making that statement, they point to a couple of pretty notable successes in that regard. Wildlife master artist John James Audubon and blues artist and composer W.C. Handy both sharpened their skills in the river city.

WNIN's Steve Burger talked with Mayor Austin about the massive growth they expect from the planned new Interstate 69 bridge over the Ohio River and how the city is working with young people to fill the jobs that will open up with the expected growth.
