The Governor’s Workforce Cabinet released a draft of a new four-year plan for federal workforce funding today. They hope the public will review the plan and submit comments.

The Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority announced Thursday it’s selected four Indiana employers for the Anchor Employer Workforce Housing Program. The businesses will each receive $1 million to address a shortage of housing for workers.

Advanced Energy Job Sector Growing in Indiana

The national business group Advanced Energy Economy is reporting a 4 percent growth in Indiana jobs last year. That means more Hoosiers than ever are working in renewable energy and energy efficiency.

Most of the jobs are located in Marion County and the fastest growing sector was in advanced vehicles. It saw 18 percent more jobs last year than the year before.
