Work On Lloyd Bridge to Resume

More work on the West Lloyd Expressway is scheduled to start next month.

The Indiana Department of Transportation says crews with Ragle, Inc. will resume work on the Pigeon Creek Bridge, closing the westbound passing lane for prep work starting on or about March 6th.

The following Monday, March 11th, traffic will be routed into the eastbound lanes while crews replace the bridge’s bearing pads and make repairs to the substructure of the bridge.

Crews will also build a new approach on the east end.

INDOT says two narrow lanes of traffic will be maintained in both directions.

The bridge project – which began last year – is expected to be complete by the end of June, depending on weather.

The work is in addition to a project to patch and resurface the Lloyd between Rosenberg Avenue and Schutte Road, also starting March, with the promise of warmer temperatures.
