Patching and resurfacing along the West Lloyd Expressway will resume when USI goes on spring break.
The Indiana Department of Transportation says the work to patch and resurface the Lloyd from Wabash Avenue to the Posey County Line will resume at the beginning of March.
In a news release, INDOT says contractor E and B Paving will close the westbound driving lane of the Lloyd between Boehne Camp and Schutte roads, and the westbound passing lane between Rosenberger Avenue and Schutte.
The agency says the lane restrictions will be in place around the clock with lanes narrowed to 15 feet.
Inclement weather could delay the work, which is expected to last into the summer.
INDOT says most of the hot mix asphalt resurfacing was finished last year.
This spring, contractors will be working on concrete and cement patching.
The start of the work will coincide with USI’s spring break, from March 4th to March 8th, reducing the traffic load in that area for one week.
