Vanderburgh Tops 1,000 COVID Cases

Vanderburgh County has topped 1,000 coronavirus cases. 

The Indiana State Department of Health reported 47 new cases in the county, raising the total of those who are or have been infected to 1,010.

No new deaths were reported in southwest Indiana.

The state agency reported 8 new COVID-19 deaths statewide.

The number of people tested in Indiana has topped 600,000 with nearly 55,000 testing positive.

The statewide death toll is 2,610.

The Green River District Health Department announced 28 new cases in its Friday report, including eleven in Daviess County and 12 in Ohio County.

No new COVID-19 deaths were reported in the seven-county district.
