Vanderburgh COVID Cases Top 900

The number of confirmed COVID 19 cases in Vanderburgh County has topped 900. 

In its Wednesday report, the Indiana State Department of Health said the county saw 47 new infections.

That raises the overall number of local residents who are – or have been –infected during the pandemic to 905.

The Vanderburgh County Health Department reported 329 active cases.

The state reported no new COVID-related deaths in southwestern Indiana.

The statewide death toll rose by 10 to 2,592.

Indiana reported 700 new cases on Wednesday.

The state says more than 586,000 people have been tested, with just over 9-percent testing positive.
