A shooting that left two people dead in Owensboro appears to be a murder-suicide.
The shooting happened Monday evening in the 2600 block of Epworth Lane.
In a release, Owensboro Police identify the victim as 67-year-old Patricia J. Murphy and the suspect as 68-year-old Donald L. Murphy.
Investigators believe Donald Murphy took his own life after shooting and killing Patricia Murphy.
The OPD says the investigation is still ongoing but does not believe there’s any further threat to the community.
