Evansville Woman Accused of Trying to Ram Henderson Police Officer

File

An Evansville woman is in custody, accused of trying to run a police officer off the road during a chase in Henderson.

Henderson Police say officers tried to stop a pickup truck driven by 61-year-old Starla Cobb of Evansville early Saturday.

In a release, the HPD said Cobb was driving in the dark on S. Green St. without headlights and in the center lane.

Police said Cobb refused to stop for officers and was then found in the 400 block of 2nd Street, where she allegedly tried to run an officer off the road and to ram his vehicle.

Police say the chase continued and officers deployed spike strips which punctured the suspect vehicles’s tires.

The HPD says officers stopped and arrested Cobb in the 300 block of N. Green St.

She faces numerous charges, including Fleeing or Evading Police, Wanton Endangerment, and Reckless Driving.
