Crews Fight Three Fires at Same Residence

File

Evansville firefighters battled flames at the same West Side address three times this week.

Firefighters extinguished a suspicious blaze that gutted a shed in the yard of 611 N. Tenth Ave. Wednesday night.

Firefighters were dispatched to same address Thursday night where they found flames coming from the vacant house.

They extinguished that blaze in about 20 minutes.

Firefighters were called back to the house early Friday morning for a “rekindle.”

In a release, EFD Division Chief Mike Larson said crews extinguished the flames and completed an “overhaul” – or search for hidden fire.

No injuries were reported in any of the fires and Larson said arson reports were filed with Evansville Police.

The investigation continues.
