Another half dozen COVID-19 related deaths are reported in western Kentucky, along with more than 900 new infections.
The Green River District Health Department recorded three more COVID-related deaths in Daviess County, one in McLean County, and two in Ohio County.
The department also counted 957 new cases between Friday and Monday in the seven-county district.
In a release, the agency reminded residents that everyone ages 12 or older are eligible for the Pfizer vaccine, and all persons 18 and older are eligible for the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson shots.
The CDC also recommends that anyone with signs or symptoms of COVID-19 to get tested, regardless of vaccination status or prior infection.
