Vanderburgh COVID Vaccinations Jump by 500; 100 New Infections; No New Deaths

File

500 more Vanderburgh County residents have become fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

The Indiana Department of Health tallied 526 new full vaccinations in the county, outnumbering new infections by 5-to-1.

The state also added no new COVID-related deaths across Indiana on the Monday dashboard, which was delayed about an hour by what the agency said was a technical issue.

It’s not clear if the issue affected the daily numbers.

Vanderburgh County’s seven-day positivity rate among individuals remained high at 26 percent.

The number of hospitalized COVID patients across the 12-county region of southwest Indiana rose slightly to 269.

Statewide, the agency counted more than 2,300 new infections.
