State GOP Platform Committee to visit Evansville

The Indiana Republican Party is looking to shape its party platform before this year’s state convention, and officials will visit Evansville as part of the process.

The state GOP says Lt. Governor Sue Ellspermann and Indianapolis City-County Councilman Mike McQuillen will co-chair the 2014 Platform Committee. They will conduct five meetings starting March 27th. The final meeting is set for April 22nd at Peabody Energy, on Eagle Crest Blvd in Evansville, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m.

According to a news release, the chairs will ask focused questions about the current platform and the future of the party.

State Chairman Tim Berry says all Republicans are invited to take part in the platform meetings. RSVPs are encouraged, but not required.
