Drivers can expect an increase in the amount of pedestrian and vehicular traffic, as kids head back to classrooms this week.
Evansville Police say in a news release that motorists need to be patient and allow extra travel time.
The agency reminds drivers that school buses will be making frequent stops, and it’s the law: you must stop in either direction when a bus has its stop arm extended.
Police say officers will be working in a number of school zones, making sure motorists reduce their speed.
They also urge drivers to be aware of crossing guards and to follow their directions.
