Summer of Music 2015

It's that time of the year!  We invite you to enjoy our 2015 WNIN Summer of Music series. For the sixth year, we will be recording performances and live broadcasting from three of our area's big music festivals and celebrating our rich, cultural heritage of live music.

We started our Summer of Music series with the 25th annual W.C. Handy Blues and BBQ Festival in Henderson, with live broadcasts like Mo' Mojo, Samantha Fish and Victor Wainwright

We recorded those and other artists for our special Labor Day weekend programs which are becoming a staple at holiday parties that weekend.  New for 2015, The Song Show host Brick Briscoe will be producing and hosting our Labor Day broadcasts.

Shorlty after Bluegrass music was filling our recorders at ROMP.  We capture numerous bluegrass and acoustic acts in addition to interviewing the performers. The Trend- ROMP 2015 is now available for your delight.

Then, we take a week off for the July4th holiday before heading out to New Harmony for theNew Harmony Music Festival and School, July 7-11. We'll broadcast live from historic Thralls Opera House on Friday and Saturday at 8pm each evening. We're adding coverage of the daily pop-up concerts that happen around town all week and add so much to the unique atmosphere in the town during festival week. You'll hear those as well on 88.3.
