I took a break with Fred Hillenbrand and Warren Hayes Wednesday afternoon, after marveling as they hung orbs in trees, high up in a cherrypicker.
It was hot, so we settled in a field house with some cold drinks.
Hillenbrand and Hayes teamed up a few years ago to create a "PG-rated" puppet act, Beaumont & Grinn. They've since moved on to bigger projects -- 14-foot-tall puppets they wear like backpacks onstage.
Their year, the duo is introducing a larger-than-life robot, complete with blinking lights.
