A Dubois County woman has been named State Trooper of the Year in the Jasper District.

Indiana State Police honored Trooper Teresa Bowling as the “2020 Trooper of the District.”

The pandemic delayed the presentation of the award to Bowling.

She grew up in Dubois County, graduated from Southridge High School in 2012, and earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology from the University of Southern Indiana in 2016.

Bowling graduated from the ISP Recruit School in 2018 and has served as a road trooper, primarily patrolling Perry County.
