Bones Discovered Near Ohio River; Could They Belong to Teague?

File

The discovery of bones near the Ohio River in Henderson County is raising questions about a woman who’s been missing for 36 years.

The bones were found near the confluence of the Ohio and Green rivers on Friday.

Deputy Coroner Ron Adams tells WNIN the bones have been sent to the Kentucky Medical Examiner’s Office for testing.

Adams says identification of the bones could take a year.

The discovery was in the same area where Heather Teague of Madisonville was last seen and possibly abducted in 1995.

Teague disappeared while sunbathing on a beach across the river from Newburgh.

A Newburgh man told police he was looking across the river through a telescope and saw the woman being taken away by a man with a gun.
