Vanderburgh COVID Vaccinations Approaching 93,000

Nearly 270 more Vanderburgh County residents are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. 

The Indiana Department of Health recorded 269 new vaccinations, as the county’s total approached 93,000.

No new COVID-related deaths were added in southwest Indiana, with just 17 new infections in Vanderburgh and ten more in Warrick County on the Monday dashboard.

Those totals tend to run lower on Mondays, while vaccinations skew higher.

Vanderburgh’s seven-day positivity rate among individuals held steady at about 21 percent.

The number of hospitalized COVID patients across the 12-county region of southwest Indiana stood at 167, with less than a third of intensive care beds available.

Statewide, just one new COVID-related death was recorded with about 1,100 more infections.
