Four more COVID-19 related deaths and nearly 400 new infections are reported in western Kentucky.
The Green River District Health Department recorded two fatalities in Union County, one in McLean County, and one in Ohio County.
The department also added 395 new cases -- more than half of them in Daviess County – from Tuesday through Thursday.
The numbers represented a slight decline from recent surges.
All seven counties in the Green River District were still considered “areas of high transmission.”
The Indiana Department of Health tallied 107 new infections in Vanderburgh County but no new fatalities.
Death tolls also didn‘t rise in Warrick, Gibson, Posey, Pike, Dubois, or Spencer counties on the Friday dashboard.
Vanderburgh’s pandemic infection total climbed above 31, 000 with the seven-day positivity rate among individuals at 21 percent.
Just 46 new full vaccinations were tallied.
Free COVID tests and vaccines are available at the CK Newsome Center in Evansville from noon until 8:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
The number of hospitalized COVID patients across the 12-county region of southwest Indiana fell below 200.
Statewide, the agency tallied 28 new fatalities and more than 3,200 new infections.
