Police Asking for Help Finding Disguised Thief

EPD

The search continues for a woman who stole IDs and credit cards from vehicles in Evansville.

Evansville Police say two separate victims had their cars broken into while parked at a local ball field on September 13th.

The EPD says their purses with IDs and credit cards were stolen.

Two days later, the suspect or suspects used the victim’s IDs to cash stolen checks from Georgia and Tennessee at Evansville banks for more than $12,000.

The suspect who was photographed is a white female wearing various wigs and disguises.

The EPD said she’s known to drive a dark gray Ford Edge with a stolen Tennessee license plate. She also drives a silver Hyundai Sonata.

The suspect is believed to be from out-of-town.

Anyone with information on her identity is urged to email EPDfinancialcrimes@evansvillepolice.com or call the Financial Crime Unit at 812-436-7959.
