A young Evansville man is dead and another person is wounded after a shooting in Owensboro.
Authorities identified the deceased as 21-year-old Jarnell Carter.
In a release, the OPD said it happened at about 4:00 Sunday morning in the 2200 block of West 2nd Street.
Officers said they found two men in a car. Carter suffered multiple gunshot wounds and died on the scene.
The second victim was also wounded multiple times and was taken to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital with what were believed to be life-threatening injuries.
There’s no word of any arrests in the case.
