An important piece of World War Two history will be in Evansville this weekend.

On June 6, 1944, the C-47 Skytrain nickhamed That’s All Brother led the main airborne invasion on D-Day. The plane was the first to cross into Europe, leading over 800 C-47’s that dropped over 13,000 paratroopers behind the D-Day invasion beaches.

The plane will be at the Evansville Wartime Museum at Regional Airport from Friday afternoon through Sunday.  There is an admission fee for the museum and a separate fee to tour the airplane. A limited number of seats are available for flights on the historic aircraft throughout the weekend.

You can check the Evansville Wartime Museum’s website for more information.
