Historic airplanes are flying into Evansville this week.

The Evansville Wartime Museum calls the event “Warbird Weekend” and it starts Thursday at the museum on Petersburg Road.

In a release, the wartime museum says the planes are scheduled to arrive Wednesday evening.

They’ll be on display and flights will be offered Thursday through Sunday.

Among the planes is a B-17 Flying Fortress.

Ground tours will be available for $20.

Flights cost $100-to-$495. Flight reservations can be made at B17TexasRaiders.org.
