Police have arrested a Madisonville man accused of raping a child.
The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office says deputies arrested 32-year-old Joshua Overstreet after receiving a criminal complaint last Sunday.
In a release, the sheriff’s office said Overstreet allegedly had inappropriate contact with a juvenile.
An investigation determined the juvenile had been raped.
Overstreet was arrested and faces a charge of rape with a victim under the age of 12.
The sheriff’s office said it’s a Class A felony that carries a possible sentence of 20-to-50 years or life in prison.
