An Ohio Woman is dead after a ride on a roller coaster at Holiday World and Splashin’ Safari.
The theme park said on its Facebook page that a female guest returned to the station of The Voyage roller coaster unresponsive.
Holiday World EMTs rendered first aid and an ambulance took her to Memorial Hospital in Jasper, where she died.
The Dubois County Coroner later identified the victim as 47-year-old Dawn Jankovic of Brunswick, Ohio.
There was no word on the woman’s cause of death.
Holiday World said a full inspection of the roller coaster was performed, and it was determined that the ride operated as it was intended to.
The theme park said the ride remained closed Friday evening out of respect for the family.
