Evansville firefighters quickly extinguished a house fire on the city’s West Side.
Crews were dispatched to the house in the 1400 block of Harmony Way, near Stocker Drive, at about 10:50 Thursday morning.
The first unit on the scene reported smoke in a second-story apartment.
Firefighters “tapped out” the blaze in about ten minutes.
There were no injuries reported but Animal Control was called to the scene, indicating a pet or pets may have been involved.
A district chief on the scene said the damage would displace the upstairs resident.
