Movie Being Filmed in Downtown Evansville This Week

The public can watch a couple of film crews on the LST 325 over the next two days.

On Monday, a crew from the Smithsonian Channel will be on the LST to film a segment for that channel’s program Combat Ships which will air later this summer on the Smithsonian Channel.

And, as we first told you here on WNIN, on Tuesday, a 35 member crew from Pigasus Pictures will be filming scenes for the upcoming movie Runner. They’ll be filming in one of the LST’s officer’s cabins and the LST will use one of their firehoses to simulate a rain storm for some scenes on the stern of the ship.

LST 325 spokesman Chris Donahue says the public can watch the two filmings from the visitor center or the overlook along Riverside Drive. He says they’ll be filming starting at 10:30 Tuesday morning, but the best viewing for the public will be in the late afternoon and evening when they’ll be shooting the outdoor scenes on the LST.
