Two More COVID Deaths Reported in Area

One new COVID 19-related death is reported in Warrick County and another in Daviess County, Kentucky.

The Indiana Department of Health announced Warrick County’s 147th death of the pandemic, along with eleven new infections.

No COVID-related deaths were added in Vanderburgh, Posey, or Gibson counties.

Vanderburgh saw 33 new infections, while the county’s seven-day positivity rate dipped below five percent on the Wednesday dashboard.

The number of hospitalized COVID patients in southwest Indiana rose by five to 66 in the 12-county region.

Statewide, 14 new COVID-related deaths were announced with just over 1,000 new infections.

Indiana’s seven-day positivity rate was down to just over four percent.

The Green River District Health Department tallied one new COVID-related death in Daviess County and 62 new infections in the seven-county region.

The number of COVID patients in the district’s hospitals dropped by one to 21.
