Authorities have released the identity of a man who died after his vehicle flipped into water in Owensboro.
The OPD identified the victim as 69-year-old Donald R. White of Owensboro.
In a release, police said White’s vehicle ran off the roadway in the 5000 block of Wildcat Way Monday afternoon and became submerged upside down in a retention basin.
Police and firefighters pulled the victim from the submerged vehicle and began life-saving measures, but they say White died at the scene.
Owensboro Police continue to investigate the crash.
