In a release, the Jasper Republican said the relief bill is “much needed by Main Street small businesses and their employees across the country.”
Trump delayed signing the bill, calling it a disgrace and demanding higher relief payments to individuals, but eventually signed the bill over the holiday weekend.
Meanwhile, Braun said he supports the president’s veto of what he calls a “massive, unaudited” defense bill.
Braun called on Congress to address what he called “wasteful spending” in the Omnibus bill.
He also called on his Senate colleagues to hold Big Tech accountable and not to adjourn with their final act being an override of Trump’s veto.
