The Evansville Water and Sewer Utility says the annual Christmas tree removal runs through Friday, January 15th.
In a release, the city said Republic Services will collect Christmas trees on the day of the regular trash pick-up.
Trees should be placed next to the regular trash cart.
The city says the service is only for city residents who pay for trash and recycling services with their monthly water and sewer bill. It’s not available to apartment complexes, mobile home communities, or retail and commercial businesses.
Live Christmas trees will be accepted at the annual Christmas tree recycling drop-off hosted by the Vanderburgh County Solid Waste District on Saturday, January 9th.
The event will be held from 8 a.m. until noon at the old Walmart west parking lot on University Drive.
A local tree service company will convert the trees to mulch to help save landfill space.
