The community college and the state university say the guaranteed admission agreement will ensure a smooth transfer to bachelor’s degree programs at USI, following a student’s successful completion of an Ivy Tech associate degree.
In a release, Ivy Tech Chancellor Daniela Vidal said the agreement will help keep talent in the community.
And Vidal said it will make earning a bachelor’s degree even more affordable.
USI Provost Dr. Mohammed Khayum said the agreement expands on a “long-standing collaboration to establish and enhance educational pathways that prepare students for success in a rapidly changing economy,”
Qualifying students will be able to transfer to USI with no less than 60 credit hours, in junior status, toward their bachelor’s degree.
