Evansville Police say a man was shot in the leg while taking out the trash.
The EPD says it happened at about 7:00 Thursday evening in the 1600 block of S. Bedford.
The victim told officers he was taking the trash out when he was hit by gunfire.
In a release, the EPD said officers applied a tourniquet to the victim’s leg to stop the bleeding until an ambulance arrived to take him to a hospital.
