EVPL to Reopen Libraries with COVID Modifications

File

Evansville’s public libraries are planning to reopen Monday with limited hours.

In a release, the EVPL says limited in-person services will begin at all of its libraries -- except EVPL East in Bayard Park, which is undergoing construction.

Public hours will be Monday through Friday from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm and on Saturday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.

The EVPL says its buildings and procedures have been modified to minimize the risk of COVID 19 exposure, including Plexiglass in high traffic areas.

Distancing reminders have also been placed throughout libraries, furniture has been rearranged, and computer stations have been shifted to ensure social distancing

The EVPL says its stations will be regularly disinfected and meeting and study rooms will remain closed.

EVPL CEO-Director Scott Kinney says EVPL To Go, the curbside pickup service, will continue at all locations -- except EVPL East -- from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Saturday.
