Police recovered illegal drugs but no suspect after a high-speed chase over the weekend.

Indiana State Police say troopers stopped pursuing the SUV when it crossed the Wabash River into Illinois.

But in a release, the ISP said pursuing officers recovered a bag thrown from the vehicle that contained drugs with an estimated value of more than $90,000.

The ISP said the eastbound SUV was clocked at 98 miles an hour on I-64 and when a trooper began chasing the vehicle, the driver threw out the bag and kept going.

The chase continued to Boonville New Harmony Road and several county roads before going north on Highway 41 to westbound I-64.

The ISP said the SUV hit stop sticks that police had deployed in northern Posey County but they didn’t stop the he driver.

The SUV entered Illinois and continued west, and state troopers ended the pursuit.

Illinois state and local police were contacted, but didn’t find the vehicle.
