Evansville Police are investigating an accident that sent a pedestrian to the hospital.
It happened at about 7:30 Thursday night in the 2600 block of Mt. Vernon Avenue.
In a release, EPD Sgt. Nick Winsett said officers found a pedestrian in the street, unconscious.
Witnesses advised the woman had left Leroy’s Tavern and had walked into traffic on Mt. Vernon Ave.
The woman was believed to have been struck by a westbound vehicle, bounced off and made contact with an eastbound vehicle.
She was taken to a hospital. The extent of her injuries was not known but police said she was expected to survive.
Her identity was not released.
Police ask anyone who might have witnessed the accident to contact the EPD.
