An Evansville man is accused of leading sheriff’s deputies on a chase that ended with the crash of a stolen motorcycle.
The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office says it happened early Wednesday morning after a deputy tried to stop a motorcycle on N. Green River Road.
In a release, the sheriff’s office said the operator -- later identified as 48-year-old Christopher Bradley Hall -- stopped and let a female passenger dismount and then sped away.
During the pursuit, deputies said Hall struck a curb on Millersburg Road and the motorcycle went down.
They said Hall rolled about ten feet and landed in a grassy area.
A deputy checked on Hall, who allegedly gave a false name.
Hall suffered a laceration to the back of his head and road rash to the right side of his body.
An ambulance took him to a hospital, where he was treated, released, and transferred to the Vanderburgh County jail.
The sheriff’s office said a check revealed the motorcycle was stolen, Hall had a suspended driver’s license, and was wanted on felony charges in Gibson and Warrick counties.
Deputies said a search of Hall’s belongings revealed nearly 3 grams of methamphetamine and a small amount of fentanyl.
