COVID Testing Extended at CK Newsome

File

COVID-19 testing will continue at Evansville’s CK Newsome Center.

The Reopen Evansville Task Force has announced testing at the site — administered by OptumServe — will be extended through October.

The facility on Walnut St. operates Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

In a release, the Task Force said residents can register for a test at lhi.care/covidtesting or by calling 888-634-1116.

Testing is free and no medical insurance is necessary, but residents with existing insurance are asked to provide the information during the scheduling process.

The testing at CK Newsome is a collaboration of Mayor Lloyd Winnecke, the Vanderburgh County Health Department, and the Indiana State Department of Health.
