FBI Joins Human Trafficking Probe in KY

File

The FBI is joining a human trafficking investigation in western Kentucky.

Kentucky State Police say its troopers will be working with federal investigators after a Tennessee man was found with a missing Daviess County girl this week.

Troopers arrested 40-year-old Steven Hargrove on a preliminary charge of Promoting Human Trafficking.

Police said the search for the missing 15-year-old led troopers to various parts of Western Kentucky but they finally found her in southern Daviess County with Hargrove.

The KSP said the girl was safe and Hargrove was arrested without incident.

Police took him to the Daviess County Detention Center in Owensboro.

In a release, the KSP said its investigators and the FBI will work together to present the case in U.S. Federal Court.
