Some Fall Festival Food, Fundraising Still Happening

West Side Nut Club

Some of the eating and fundraising from the canceled Fall Festival will still happen – just not on W. Franklin St.

Elaine Lively and her friend, Sarah Taylor, have started a Facebook page called Fall Festival 2020.

It’s NOT connected to the West Side Nut Club but shows a growing list of not-for-profits who usually sell their food at the festival and where they’re selling it this year.

Lively tells WNIN the Facebook page includes a spread sheet and a Google map…

"There's a couple of them doing it at the and of September. Some of them are taking pre-orders now.  So, there's a spread sheet that I created to keep all of that together so you can know even when you need to find these people."

Lively says some of the vendors will set up food booths on their own properties…

"We're not trying to gather a bunch of people together. We want to keep everything spread out. This is a crazy time right now."

Lively says she’s happy to travel to get her festival treats…

"I will drive all over town to get my food and help these organizations out."

Officials cancelled this year’s Fall Festival due to the pandemic.

The Nut Club still plans to conduct its half-pot drawing which was wildly successful in its first year last year.
