Evansville Police are investigating a homicide.
In a release, EPD Officer Phillip Smith said police were called to the 300 block of N. Main St. at about 3:00 Monday afternoon.
Smith said the officers found a “deceased male” at the location.
The Vanderburgh County Coroner later identified the victim as 56-year-old Burk Jones of Evansville.
Coroner Steve Lockyear said an autopsy was scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.
Crime Scene Detectives collected evidence but there were no suspects as of Tuesday morning.
