Police are gearing up for more traffic enforcement.
In a release, the Evansville Police Department announced both the “Click It to Live It Blitz” and the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign.
Sgt. Nick Winsett says the efforts will begin this weekend and continue through September 7th – including the Labor Day weekend.
Winsett said officers will work overtime looking for impaired and unrestrained drivers, with the help of grant money.
He urges you to buckle up and designate a sober driver if you’re going to celebrate the unofficial end of summer with alcohol.
