Coronavirus-related deaths have risen in both southwest Indiana and western Kentucky.
The Indiana State Department of Health announced two new Vanderburgh County fatalities over the weekend.
The deaths pushed the county’s COVID-19 toll to 12.
On Monday, the state agency also reported 26 new infections in the county, with the seven-day positivity rate up to 9.3 percent.
Over the weekend, a 30th death was reported in Warrick County and a fourth in Gibson County.
The state of Indiana reported five new deaths in its Monday report, nearly 600 new cases, and a statewide seven-day positivity rate of 8.8 percent.
Meantime, the Green River District Health Department reported a new fatality in Daviess County, Kentucky on Monday.
It pushed that county’s death toll to eight.
22 new infections were reported in the seven-county district, nine of them in Daviess and five of them in Henderson County.
