EPD Looking for "Violent Felon" After Shooting

EPD

Evansville Police are looking for a man they describe as a “serious violent felon” following a shooting on the West Side.

In a release, EPD Sgt. Nick Winsett said officers were called to the 1100 block of West Louisiana Street at about 10:30 Sunday night.

The caller told central dispatch that 33-year-old Seth Matthew Wrinkles was shooting at a female victim and they heard at least five shots.

Winsett said the victim later called 911 and told dispatchers where she was.

The woman was taken to a hospital, treated for a gunshot wound to her abdomen, and released.

There’s no word on her identity.

Police searched a house that Wrinkles was believed to have entered, but he’d fled the scene.

Wrinkles has an extensive criminal history and is the son of convicted killer Matthew Eric Wrinkles. He was executed in 2009.

Winsett said if you see Seth Wrinkles, you’re advised not to make contact with him and call police immediately.
