Evansville Police are investigating a shooting near a Southeast Side apartment complex.
In a release, the EPD says officers were called to the area of 2500 Sunburst Boulevard – near Woodland Park Apartments -- for a report of shots fired at about 10:45 Saturday night.
When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot twice in both legs.
The officers rendered aid to the victim until an ambulance and firefighters arrived.
The ambulance took the man to a hospital and he’s expected to survive his wounds.
His name has not been released.
Police say detectives are tracking down leads and are asking anyone with information about Saturday night’s shooting to call Evansville Police.
