The site will be at the CK Newsome Center in downtown Evansville.
Evansville will have a free, regional coronavirus testing site starting next week. Mayor Lloyd Winnecke’s office made the announcement Tuesday.
It is one of the state’s OptumServe sites. Starting Monday, residents can get free tests for COVID-19, regardless of symptoms, contact or recent travel. If those wanting testing have health insurance, that information will be taken during the registration process.
The CK Newsome testing site will be open Monday through Friday from 8am-8pm central time. Registration is required. You can also call 888.634.1116.
In addition to the new site, Indiana State Department of Health testing is available at the CVS on North St. Joe Avenue and at Deaconess Clinic Lynch.
