New festive lights are being installed in Downtown Evansville.
The Economic Improvement District says it will illuminate more than 100 trees along Main Street with lights that can be color-coded for events and holidays.
In a release, the group said the launch of the new Special Occasion Lighting System will be Thursday evening at the corner of Main at Second Streets.
Ice cream and beverages will be available at the 8:15 event, but it will be limited to 100 attendees.
People are asked to maintain six feet between themselves and other attendees. Face coverings are also recommended.
