A third COVID 19-related death has been recorded in Vanderburgh County.
Lynn Herr at the Vanderburgh County Health Department confirmed the third local death.
She told WNIN News the victim was a middle-aged man.
Herr did not know if the man had underlying health conditions.
Vanderburgh’s COVID-19 death toll remains well below some less-populated counties in the Tri-State, including Hopkins and Warrick.
The Indiana State Department of Health reported 27 additional COVID-19 deaths on Friday, raising the statewide toll to 2,078.
The number of probable coronavirus-related deaths rose one to 180.
The state reported more than 500 new cases.
