A third COVID 19-related death has been reported in Dubois County.
The county’s health officer, Dr. Ted Waflart, said in a release that the resident did have underlying medical conditions.
He did not identify the deceased.
He offered “sincere condolences to friends and family” of the victim.
Waflart said the best way to protect yourself and the community is to wash your hands frequently, avoid touching your face, avoid close contact with people who are sick, stay home when you’re sick, cover your cough or sneeze, and clean and disinfect frequently-touched surfaces.
The doctor still urges residents to wear a cloth face mask when out in public and continue to social distance.
