Feed Evansville and local church hope to fill food security gap with the event.

Feed Evansville and Christian Fellowship Church are teaming up for the food box pickup at the church at 4100 Millersburg Road on Saturday from 9am-3pm.

Coordinator Juli Gardner said volunteers will be filling 1,500 boxes for pickup. Gardner says they’re happy to participate in the Feed Evansville movement.

Gardner said, “We as a church just wanted to be a little part of that and try to do what we can.”

Gardner said anyone can come and get a free box of food, but they’re targeting Evansville’s north side residents with the giveaway. Social distancing and limited contact will be observed during the event.
